Who Can Apply?
The W&RSETA invites accredited training providers, training providers with W&RSETA Scope and
TVET Colleges to apply for Discretionary Grant Funding Windows for Entrepreneurship
Development Programme, NGO/NPO Project and Registered Co-operatives programmes.
What Can You Apply For?
INTERVENTION
1. Entrepreneurship Development Programme
UNITS
100 Entrepreneurs
REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA
• Learners can be recruited
from any part of the country
• All Learners must be South African with the following demographics: 100% Black, 30% Youth, 50% Female, 5% Disability and 40% Rural.
• Learners must have CIPC Registered Entities o Learners will be trained on a maximum of six Unit Standards which fall under
Wholesale and Retail subfield and as enlisted in any W&RSETA approved programme at R1 500.00 per Unit Standard
• Learners will receive 3 months stipends of R3000.00
• Each participating enterprise will receive a once-off R500.00 PPE Support Grant. (Project duration is 6 months)
2. NGO/NPO Project
UNITS
100 NGOs and/or NPOs
REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA
• Learners can be recruited from any part of the country
• At least one NGO/NPO member should be trained on a maximum of four Unit Standards which fall under Wholesale and Retail subfield
and as enlisted in any W&RSETA approved programme at R1 500.00 per Unit Standard
• Participating NGOs/NPOs must have valid registration documents
• Learners will receive 2 months stipends of R3000.00
• Each participating NGO/NPO will receive a once-off R500.00 PPE Support Grant (Project duration is 6 months)
3. Registered Cooperatives Project
UNITS
20 Registered Cooperatives
REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA
• Learners can be recruited from any part of the country
• At least one member per Co-operative should be trained on a maximum of four Unit Standards which fall under Wholesale and
Retail subfield and as enlisted in any W&RSETA approved programme at R1 500.00 per Unit Standard
• Co-operatives can either be Primary or Secondary Cooperatives
• Participating Co-operatives must have registration documents
• Learners will receive 2 months stipends of R3000.00
• Each Co-operative will receive a once-off R500.00 PPE Support Grant (Project duration is 6 months)
