The W&RSETA hereby notifies its stakeholders that the second 2020/2021 Discretionary Grant
Funding Window is now open for applications. This additional Funding Window has been made
available to address interventions that have not been allocated following the approval of the first
Discretionary Grant Funding Window that closed on 17 July 2020. The Funding Window is now open
for applications for the following interventions:
- WHAT CAN YOU APPLY FOR?
TARGET/INTERVENTION:
Unemployed learners registered in NQF 2-5 learnerships or occupational programmes addressing Wholesale and Retail HTFVs as identified in the SSP.
NUMBER OF LEARNERS:
322 beneficiaries, including 95 Persons with Disabilities
TARGET/INTERVENTION:
Employed learners registered on NQF 2-5 skills programmes or part qualifications addressing Wholesale and Retail HTFVs as identified in the SSP annually
NUMBER OF LEARNERS:
4808
TARGET/INTERVENTION:
Unemployed learners registered on NQF 2-5 skills programmes or part qualifications addressing Wholesale and Retail HTFVs as identified in the SSP annually
NUMBER OF LEARNERS:
198
TARGET/INTERVENTION:
Graduates from TVET Colleges and HET Institutions are placed within the wholesale and retail sector to gain workplace experience
NUMBER OF LEARNERS:
387 Degree / 426 Diploma
TARGET/INTERVENTION:
Interns from TVET Colleges are placed within the wholesale and retail sector to gain workplace experience in order to obtain their qualifications (N6 Students)

WHO CAN APPLY?
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Stakeholders that are eligible to apply for all the Discretionary Grant Funding Windows
include W&RSETA Registered Employers, TVET Colleges, Wholesale and Retail
Associations or Organisations and Holding Companies.
2. W&RSETA Accredited Training Providers are only allowed to apply for the Employed
Skills Programme funding window.
3. Applications may be considered where companies have already been allocated learners
in the first Funding Window and have the capacity to enrol additional learners.
