Eskilz College partners with MQA to launch the first of its kind qualification
Eskilz College collaborated with MQA in rolling out MQA’s First Work Experience Programme.
“We will expand the National Youth Service to take on 50 000 young people a year. Government will support tech-enabled platforms for self-employed youth in rural areas and townships,” said Ramaphosa.
In May, South Africa’s unemployment rate increased to 27.6% in the first quarter of 2019, according to Stats SA.
Ramaphosa said the Expanded Public Works Program would continue to provide work opportunities to the most vulnerable job seekers. He stated that subjects such as coding and data analytics would be introduced at a basic schooling level, to respond to the fourth industrial revolution.
Eskilz College is aligned to President Ramaphosa’s SONA plan and ensures to enter into the fourth revolution prepared and ready to tackle unemployment statistics in South Africa.
The Internship Programme is aimed at the increase in numbers of the technical graduates to hold necessary training and qualifications required for professional employment in the mining and minerals sector.
Eskilz College empowered by MQA took on the first of its kind SETA accredited and BEE aligned electrical engineering internship. 25 interns from rural areas embarked on an 18 month journey with Eskilz College to become electrical engineers.

Eskilz College empowered by MQA has assisted more than 50 beneficiaries in obtaining their qualification in becoming a qualified artisan.
These interns gathered experience of industrial systems through witnessing the manufacturing process of products within companies such as Tiger Brands and Steelvision . These corporate businesses provided the platform for our interns to gain an insight into the business environment and sustain the passion that is instilled within them.
Eskilz College gifted these learners with PPE’s and tool boxes to use within the programme and throughout their electrical and mechanically engineering careers. We are pleased to announce the success of our Work Experience Programme , as our interns will be graduating on June 26th 2019.
