The Energy and Water Sector Education and Training is a statutory body established in terms of the Skills Development Act (1998) as amended; to advance skills levels in accordance with the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS) III. The SETA Grant Regulations (2012), as amended, prescribe that 80% of discretionary grant must be allocated to Professional, Vocational, Technical and Academic Learning (PIVOTAL) programmes that result in qualifications or part qualifications, to develop the sector in accordance with the priorities outlined in EWSETA’s Sector Skills Plan (SSP) that address the skills needs identified on EWSETA’s Scarce and Critical skills list for its sub-sectors. EWSETA invites all stakeholders within the energy and water sector to submit applications for Discretionary Grant funding for the 2018/19 financial year.

HOW TO APPLY FOR EWSETA DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING 2018/19 Cycle 03:

All applications must be completed online. Please visit https://www.itaware.co.za/ewseta/

and register. Once you have been verified, you may proceed to apply for the relevant

categories.

The application must be scanned with the following documents:

Central Supplier Database Report (National Treasury);

Proof of Applicant physical address (e.g. Municipal Bill etc.);

A company / organisation’s registration certificate (CIPRO Certificate);

Valid Accreditation for interventions applied for:

A valid Tax Clearance Certificate, If exempted attach SARS exemption letter;

Valid BEE Certificate;

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for experiential learning where applicable,

that is signed by accounting officer;

Project Conceptualization Document (Proposal template attached);

Proof of Project Implementation Team ( Note: CVs in one pdf file);

Knowledge Management Systems (References Letters in previous training);

Implementation Plan;

Current Learner Database/List (Must incl: Name and Surname of Learner, Highest Qualification and ID Number);

Signed Online Generated Application Form by Authority.

EWSETA reserves the right not to make any awards and the right to allocate grants

proportionately to ensure an equitable distribution of grants.
